As Associate Medical Director at In-House Hospice & Palliative Care, Jennifer Winegarden, DO assists patients, their families, and their caregivers in promoting dignity and independence at the end of life. She is responsible for medical oversight and consultation to physicians who refer patients to In-House Hospice & Palliative Care, which provides end-of-life services for approximately 500 patients each day in 44 counties in Michigan and Ohio.
Winegarden is board-certified in Family Practice and board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. Prior to joining In-House Hospice & Palliative Care, she managed her own private practice as well as served as Faculty Physician at Providence Hospital's Department of Family Medicine. She has also served at Garden City Hospital in the capacity of Medical Executive Board Member and Family Practice Department Chair.
She holds active memberships in the American Osteopathic Association, Michigan Osteopathic Association, and American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
A graduate of Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine, she completed her internship and residency at Garden City Hospital. She also has extensive training in the field of Neurology at St. John-Oakland Hospital.
